The Product
CHECKpress is a true 100% print inspection system which inspects 100% of the web, 100% of the time.
Easily installed onto any press, and with a touch screen user interface designed for ease of use, both set up and ongoing configuration of the system requires minimal time and training.
How it works
Using a digital linescan camera, CHECKpress can scan for print defects on almost any web width.
The user can set the size of defect to be detected via the touch screen user interface, eliminating false error conditions. Should defects need to be detected over wider webs, then an upgrade from the standard 2048 pixel CHECKpress camera to the 4096, or even the 6144 pixel camera is recommended.
Once set up, as soon as the print job is commenced CHECKpress will begin checking for both random and repeating defects. Alarm enunciation is both visible and audible, differentiating between persistent faults and ad hoc discrepancies. A defect map archive giving coordinates of faults and total accepts and rejects within each printed reel is produced.
